Traditional native cultures of the world have always held that their land is the center, or navel, of the Earth, the Great Mother. And through their inner identification with their myths and renewal rites and ceremonies traditional native people continue to regard themselves as the Mother’s guardians and caretakers. Within the holographic model, this is true. We are part of that model. So, if the center is within each one of us, too, should not we all share responsibility for the well-being of the Mother, the Earth?

Today, cultures who have maintained their ancestral wisdom-base speak out to us, urging us to change our world-view and harmonize with nature before it is too late. They say the “changing of the worlds” is close. The bottom line of what they are telling us is simple: The Earth is our Mother. Start with that.
